BUSINESS APPLICATIONS SUPPORT SPECIALIST

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

The Business Applications Support Specialist assists management, IT Support teams, and employees with configuration, user onboarding, operation, training, and maintenance of computer software application programs. This position is typically the contact person receiving and handling support tickets and resolving support-related issues both in the office and the field/job sites by working with IT support staff, software vendors, and staff. This position reports directly to IT Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

SKILL, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Provide hands-on maintenance, training, and resolution for all users n Track support records and identify patterns of issues
  • Develop action plans and work with software vendors to resolve patterns and issues
  • Develop and implement a quality assurance process to include staff, field, and vendor outreach
  • Implement and maintain training programs to provide users with resources and tools
  • Provide the first level of support in conjunction with The Help Desk support team to users n Assist with staff onboarding and offboarding
  • Assist with vendor management functions specific to all business applications
  • Prepare users for software updates and any changes by providing training and revised work instructions n Investigate approaches to use software more efficiently and effectively
  • Visit jobs sites to provide hands-on support to the field n Complete other duties and tasks assigned as deemed appropriate by management
  • Bachelor or Associate degree in Computer Science required
  • Expertise with SaaS Systems, including Microsoft 365, Cloud-based business applications required
  • Must possess demonstrated competence and experience in:
    Procore – Construction Project Management
    Arcoro – Human Resources Management System
    Microsoft 365 Suite
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the computer/IT support field required
  • Ability to work cohesively with external and internal parties
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills: ability to manage multiple issues at once and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities, and follow issues to successful resolution
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities, and follow projects to completion
