Body Shop Process Equipment
SEGLC has been involved in many of the large Body Shop Installation projects in the last two decades. We have an outstanding reputation for expertise and excellence in this particular area of automotive assembly. Whether the equipment is integrated or non-integrated, we have the professional expertise to install the projects within budget and on schedule.
General Assembly Process Equipment
Part of the automotive assembly process involves equipment associated with G/A process equipment. Small cell assemblies such as windshield installation, trim, headliners, wheels, etc. are required to trim out the vehicle after the paint process. Each subassembly requires attention to detail and the ability to work with different machinery vendors to integrate the process. We are very familiar with the extensive coordination efforts that this type of equipment requires.
Paint Shop Process Equipment
An extremely critical operation in the automotive assembly process involves painting a vehicle. This type of work requires Specialty Contractors who are 100% committed to the Quality Control process for Painting & Finishing a vehicle. Special tools and personal protective equipment among other items are needed to perform this work. We have extensive experience in working in Paint Shop facilities and our workforce is trained for this type of work.
Powertrain Process Equipment
Powertrain projects are machines used to fabricate & assemble engines, transmissions, axles and associated equipment to power a vehicle. Most equipment is usually purchased from a third party vendor and needs to be integrated in the owner’s facility and installed in an assembly line configuration. SEGLC has assembled numerous Powertrain installations across the country.
Metal Fabrication Systems
The metal forming process to fabricate a vehicle usually begins in a Stamping Plant. Presses of various forms and types are used to stamp the body panels and frames required for the assembly shops. Stamping facilities are large open facilities with Overhead Cranes and involve massive machinery parts and intricate controls and automotive processes. Our company has installed huge transfer presses such as a Schuler to small punch presses such as a Verson.
Material Handling Conveying Systems
Automotive plants require material transfer systems to move the vehicles through the numerous work stations involved in the process of building a vehicle. Some of the types of conveyor systems that are required in an automotive facility and for which we have extensive experience with are the installation of P&F, skillets, vertical lifts, pallet, monorail, etc.
