Jeff began his career in 1996, learning the craft and basic electrical theory and in 1998 entered a five-year electrical apprenticeship through the IBEW Local 58 program. He became a Journeyman Electrician in 2003 and became a Master Electrician in 2005. As a journeyman, Jeff joined the Superior Electric team in 2004. Over the next 20 years, he worked his way through the ranks of Supervisor, Project Manager, Estimator, Senior Project Manager, and Director of Project Management. In January 2023, he accepted the responsibility of Vice President of Michigan Operations and as of January 2024, Jeff Smiley officially transitioned to Chief Operating Officer.
